As I sit in gratitude, I am reminded of the true threshold that today holds, its significance and meaning. Two years ago, today my life changed in such a brutal way, my Cat Wilson who was my shadow died in a car accident and his loss destroyed me and closed many doors. It also opened up this door to walking the Shamanic Path, as a way to heal and to connect with him. Today I still miss him greatly, yet I know he walks this path beside me.

Two years ago, on this very day, Wilson you walked the Rainbow Bridge.

You were more than just a cat, you were my shadow, my daily companion, a daily presence woven into the fabric of my life and your loss was heart breaking.

My grief was brutal as I craved your purr, touch, headbutt and to be a witness to my everyday, to listen and understand like only you could and your physical absence left a hole that was so hollow.

Your death Baby Will's wasn't simply sad—it was transformative, it shattered something and forced me into a landscape I had never intended to walk and yet, as I searched for healing, meaning, and connection, I found the Shamanic Path. Not because I was looking to start a business. Not because I was looking for a new identity. But because I was looking for a way to heal and here I am, two years later, not standing at the place where the story ended, but standing at the place where a new one begins.

So today is a celebration and a remembrance. The loss of Wilson will always be part of the story of Halo of the Moon. Not as a wound that defines it, but as a doorway. One that I never would have chosen, but one that ultimately led me toward healing, learning, courage, and service.

If I were to put this into words for my own reflection tonight, it might be: Two years ago, my world changed when I lost Wilson, my beloved shadow and companion. His death broke my heart and sent me searching for a way to heal, to understand, and to maintain a connection that love itself could not serve. That search led me to the Shamanic Path. What began as a journey through grief became a journey of transformation. Today, as Halo of the Moon takes its first steps into the world, I honour not only the dream that has been born, but also the love and loss that helped guide me here. Wilson's pawprints remain upon my heart and upon this path.

There is something rather beautiful about the timing. Two years ago, a door closed with devastating finality. Today, under the Blue Moon, I watch another door open, and perhaps as I sit in gratitude tonight, I won't separate those moments, perhaps I hold them both:💙 the grief of losing Wilson and 🌕 the joy of birthing Halo of the Moon, because both belong to the same story. Because, Wilson, who still visits me daily is the true seed to Halo of the Moon and is the reason why I sit here tonight, with a website, a community, a calling, and a Son who is proud of his mum and a Husband who is proud of his wife. That's quite a legacy for a little shadow cat. Rest in Peace my beautiful baby boy, Wilson 🐾❤️🌕🐺
